1st day of summer

Today was the first day of summer or the first day of no school. It was a hot day and Carley wanted to get her swimsuit on, so I got a fun sprinkler out.

Drying off in the sun

Madalyn got fussy when I was setting it up so I picked her up, she relaxed so I set her down in her bouncer outside, after a few minutes and this is what happened. She slept for 40 minutes. She looks so cute and peaceful

Kindergarten graduation

Yesterday was Bryson's last day of school and he had a little graduation program. They had a Hawaiian party after, which is why they are wearing leis.

blessing pic with lilacs

So I was wanting to take some nice pictures of Madalyn in her blessing dress, but I knew the lilacs in Midway were about to bloom and I thought that would be perfect with the lavender in her dress, so I waited a couple weeks after her blessing day and this is what I got.
She is such a smiler, cooer, and occasionally we can get her to giggle.
(Thanks to Misty who let me use her backdrop and lights again)

Mother's Day

I thought I had a brilliant idea. I wanted to take a picture with all my kids on mother's day and then in future years do the same thing. What started off as a good idea turned out to make me frustrated with my kids for the rest of the day and late for church. I didn't think I would get any good pictures, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Dandilion pictures

I remember taking these pictures of Carley last year and posting them to the blog. The field in front of our house is full on dandilions once again. I hate dandilions in my lawn, but they are so pretty in the field. I wanted to get a picture of all the kids in the field with Mt Timpanogos in the background. The challenging part was to get all the kids ready and then to take a picture and have them all looking at the camera a smiling. These are the best ones. Madalyn was the one that was the least cooperative. So here are the pictures.

soccer season

I know I am behind on posts when I haven't posted about Bryson's soccer season and it is over. Bryson loves playing soccer and looked forward to playing every week. He is getting so good at his ball handling skills and was the best on his team. He was the main point scorer. He wanted Eric to be his coach again so he did that. Eric had to keep Bryson on defense a lot and make sure he passed the ball to his teammates because he can be a ball hog. He has such a competitive attitude and hated when his team was losing or when he had to take a break on the side line and couldn't play. He can't wait for the next season to start, and until them he will play in the backyard.

Blessing Day

On Sunday May 3rd we were able to have a very special family occasion. We blessed Madalyn in church and then had a family lunch afterwards. It is always fun when family gets together. My parents came in from Colorado and stayed for the weekend and then on Sunday we had most of Eric's brothers and sisters and other extended relatives come. It was a very special day and Madalyn was very beautiful in the dress that Grandma Provo made her.

We were able to take some pictures of William and Madalyn. They are less than 2 weeks apart. William has such big feet and we took a picture of the difference in their feet.

Madalyn had her 2 month drs appointment last Tuesday and she weighed 10.9 lbs (50th percentile) and 23.5 inches long (80th percentile). I can't believe how fast time goes. She is getting so big, but she loves to curl up and still cuddle against my chest

IT'S A MIRACLE

For the past 10 weeks I have had interupted sleep at nights and woke up feeling like a zombie for the rest of the day. I woke up this morning and realized that I didn't get up in the middle of the night. Madalyn slept through the night!!! YEA I didn't do anything different. We were in Provo yesterday afternoon and she didn't have a very good nap later in the evening, but she has done this before and she still woke up in the middle of the night. I don't know if she will do it again tonight, but I hope so.
She is really starting to focus on you and smile and coo. It is so fun to play with her and talk to her when she responds back.
