Polynesian Cultural Center and Laie

On Tuesday we drove over to Laie. We first went to the temple and took a family picture.

We then went and had lunch at giovanni's and had their famous shimp. Carley loved the shrimp. Bryson and madalyn ate a hot dog.

After lunch we went to the PCC. The kids loved it. This is the guy that does the "act" for showing how to break and eat coconut.
They also liked watching the guy climb the tree.
The next show we went to Bryson tried to follow the dance of the Tahitians.

Carley loved the hawaiian dancing girls. We walked around and did some more shows, then we went to the luau. This is the pig we ate.

After I wanted to take pictures of the kids with their leis. They cooperated just enough so I was happy with the pictures.

We then went to the show. We were on the front row on the side and could really see the dancers. The show started at 7:30, but the kids still weren't used to Hawaii time so really it was 11:30. Bryson stayed awake the whole time. Maddy fell asleep at the beginning and Carley made it half was through. Bryson loved the fire dancers at the end and because we were so close to the stage he could feel the heat. The show went through the life of a boy. The next day Carley kept talking about the new born baby in the show and when he got married. it is funny the things she catches on to and like. It was a very long day and we didn't get back to the hotel until late, but the kids had a lot of fun and at the end of the trip we asked them what their favorite day was and Carley says the PCC and Bryson says surfing and then the PCC.
